I love this stage of recording an album. The meat and potatoes are done and the songs start to really take shape. This is when you look for those tiny little additions that make all the difference in the world.
The best part is, anything goes. There are no wrong ideas, no stupid choices… only options to be considered. The smallest brush stroke can bring the entire song together, and without it the song sounds irrelevant. Oh, what a blissful path of experimentation and discovery.
